Yoga came into my life during one of my original overseas adventures way back in 1999. I was staying for a few months in a lovely place called Maroochydore, Australia when I met a yoga teacher who introduced me to the wonderful world of Hatha. I enjoyed each of his classes as they led me to a beautiful sense of peace, unfortunately the timing wasn't right and this experience was short lived. It did however lead to years of experimenting with various exercise styles and home practice of yoga and pilates.

It took landing on Holy Cow's doorstep in Chesterfield just after it opened in 2017 and being introduced to Ashtanga before I truly began to understand what yoga meant. I found my mind started to stand still in class and I finally felt able to breathe.

The opportunity arose to take part in a Yoga teacher training course, specialising in Ashtanga, with Taran Boynton and Kathy Ran. The jigsaw pieces fell into place and I jumped at the chance to open up my life to new choices and opportunities.

This course was life changing for me- I went into it only wanting to expand my own practice, but came out of it in February of 2020 with a brand new idea of the direction I wanted to take my life. There is still a long road ahead full of new experiences and learning, but I'm truly looking forward to it.

I invite you to join me on my ongoing journey as I improve my teaching and pass this knowledge on to you all. My journey has already been an interesting one with the Covid-19 crisis changing the face of yoga for a while, but this has given me time to develop new class structures and embrace the many styles of yoga practice!
